  Yes the seafood here was fresh but I'm afraid to say that this place is overhyped and clearly a tourist attraction that's meant to milk money from tour groups. (You can see it from all the different tour buses and people here). For the same prices, you can easily get equally good quality seafood from any decent seafood outlet and those would be much tastier too (lobsters here were fresh but pretty meh in terms of flavour). Lobsters came in "halves" per portion which was about $38/half lobster. Fish was hard and dry. Definitely NOT worth coming all the way to Cervantes just for this, despite what all the marketing materials/brochures say. Do yourself a favour and give this a miss the next time you're tempted to come to Cervantes for its "famous lobster".

  Great place to stop. The food no doubt was fresh but lacked in flavour. Chose the "b size lobster with fried rice".
  Lobster was cooked well and had a great Meaty texture and was okay to eat but needed it's flavour. Taste as if it's cooked in old water. Still edible none the less. Fried rice, again, cooked well just a simple dish with basic veg. But lacking any flavour.
  
  Over all a nice relaxing place with a shaded outdoor dining area and good atmosphere. Staff were also friendly.

  Excellent place for fresh lobster cuisine. However taste maybe salty for some. Good business idea to have a paid short tour on their operation. Good place for rest after road trip and gathering

  The Lobster Shack is a hidden must-get-to place if you're in for the area's main catch; the lobster. You'll need to order + pay for your food first and then get given a 'buzzer' for them to buzz you when the food's ready. It is a quaint outdoor (or undercover) patio where you can sit and have your meal. The food was decent but a must-visit for the experience.
